The government has devised a long-term strategy to overcome electricity and gas crisis, says State Minister for Defence Production Sardar Saleem Haider Khan here on Monday. As part such efforts, he added the government had accomplished a gas pipeline agreement with Iran besides building of 13 dams.

He was addressing a public meeting on the occasion of inauguration of Sui gas supply project to village Malal and Alipur of tehsil Fateh Jang. The project has been completed within two years with a cost of Rs 50 million. He said the government would complete its constitutional term of five years and that each area of his constituency would be provided with electricity facility.

"I cannot keep myself away from the masses and I would keep serving them in line with Bhutto's mission to provide better life to the masses at their doorsteps", observed the minister. The state minister has announced the establishment of four schools and provision of electricity to rural areas of the district on the demand of Union Council (UC) Nazim Malal, Mumtaz Ali Khan. Former Member National Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ameer, Nazim UC Malal, Vice Nazim Sardar Ahsan Khan, and president PP-17 constituency, Qazi Gulzar Hussain also addressed the meeting.
